From the Mind of Rich Browd… Street Kids

Rich Browd has always been an artistic inspiration and the folks here at Sweat Shop are huge fans! We are especially excited to introduce you to his newest project Street Kids ( a new sketch comedy puppet show filmed in the streets of New York City. Around 2001 Rich started hand sewing stuffed creations inspired by sketches. These people, animals, dolls, monsters, puppets and large stuffed personalities have often been referred to as soft sculpture because of the amount of consideration and artistry each creation requires. Street Kids is a puppet show where some of these creations are given life… and a voice.  A combination of new wave, skate punk, street aesthetic combined with a crisp commercial, graphic sensibility makes this a real treat visually. The characters are caricatures of people you may interact with daily living in NYC. The topics range from technology to terrorism and had us in stitches.

Check out the trailer and keep an eye out for the Street Kids!
